Street Art – Os Gêmeos

Somerville, Mass – When the Brazilian duo Os Gêmeos had their exhibit at the ICA in Boston, they left their mark in a few places around town, as did graffiti artist Shepard Fairey. Their most prominent piece is the unmistakable “giant of Boston” which towers over the Greenway at Dewey Square.

But like Fairey, Os Gêmeos also chose to paint an impromptu mural right here in Union Square. This beauty graces the wall on the side of Mama Gina’s (or go-to spot for Italian subs, by the way).
The owner of Mama Gina’s said “I think it’s good… and much better than a plain wall.”
Twin S is down with that.
Incidentally, Os Gêmeos is Portuguese for “the twins”. The artists are Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, twin brothers from Brazil. We are definitely down with that.
