Saco, Maine – There’s nothing better than a fall trip to the beach: that last taste of summer that is all the sweeter, knowing that the next one is probably nine months away. In fact, it could be argued that a beach day in September is better than a beach day in any other month:
- The beach is not crowded, even on a Saturday afternoon. Even if it’s 85 degrees. Of course, the 85 degrees cannot be guaranteed.
- The water is the warmest it has been all year. In Maine, it’s still not warm at all, but that’s beside the point.
- The sun rises at 6:30am. That’s a full 90 minutes later than a sunrise in June. So when your kids wake up at 6am, you have something to do.
