Venice, Italy – The glassmakers’ workshop in Murano was obviously a hit with the twins, because: fire. (Twin S now asking for a blowtorch for Christmas.)
But there’s more fun to be had on the island of Murano. We didn’t make it to the Glass Museum, which is recommended. But we did stop in the wonderful Basilica dei SS Maria e Donato, a medieval beauty has wonderful mosaic and glass adornments everywhere.
At one shop, the twins picked out beads and made their own (expensive) bracelets to take home. And we had a fantastic lunch at Osteria al Duomo with an excellent selection for both littles (pizza!) and bigs (sea bass!). Lunch was so good I feel like we could make a special trip to Murano just to eat here again.
