Rincón de San Josecito, Costa Rica – This was our “beach day” yesterday. It started pouring 10 minutes after we got dropped off. (We have turned in our rental car because it’s notoriously bad driving in this region. Case in point, we had to drive through two rivers to get to the beach.)
Unfazed, the kids played at the beach in the rain for two hours. I guess we were going to get wet anyway…
We finally went to a restaurant for lunch and called our lodge for a pickup. And guess what? The rain was so heavy it made the rivers impassable!
So we spent three hours at the restaurant drinking betidos and playing cards. And the kids had a blast. Welcome to the rainforest.
