Rome, Italy – We passed by the ruins of the Torre Argentina multiple times during our four days in Rome. (Fun fact: this is supposedly where Caesar was assassinated.) Each time, we stopped to count the kitties who have since taken over the ancient ruins. We usually spotted somewhere between 20 and 30 feline friends. Both boys declared that `cat city’ was their favorite thing in Rome. Only to find out that this is an actual cat sanctuary, with some 150 fur balls in this clan of Torre Argentina cats. Wish we could take a few of them home!
